North Shore
Maui's rugged and rural north shore contrasts with the manicured and landscaped resort areas of west and south Maui. Estates and villas on the north shore often have luxuriant foliage due to the relatively higher rainfall compared to the arid south and west of the island. The north shore offers some excellent surfing and windsurfing opportunities. Another popular destinations is Paia town, an artsy community that harkens back to the 1960s. more»
